Portsmouth FC Third Kit 2008-09

Portsmouth FC has unveiled a new black and gold third kit for the 2008-09 season of English Premier League and UEFA Cup football. Available in two versions - 'elite' and replica - the elite version is the actual shirt that the players wear and is not a replica. Made from a special fabric and Ionx process, the new third kit is designed for maximum comfort and performance.

Manufactured by Canterbury, the shirt utilises a super-lightweight 135gms breathable 4 way stretch performance fabric with Quick Dry properties and a wicking finish to ensure that the pros are Dry and Comfortable and concentrate on the business of winning.

Other features include reflector dots and CCC logos on the shoulder that react to sunlight and floodlights to enhance peripheral vision.

As the club celebrates its 110th anniversary in the 2008-09 season, Pompey will be wearing this kit in the UEFA Cup competition for the first time in history.

Portsmouth FC home kit 2008-09

Harry Redknapp's Portsmouth FC has unveiled a new home kit for season 2008/09 designed for comfort and performance in mind.

Manufactured by Canterbury, the shirt utilises a lightweight performance polyester and breathable mesh with quick dry properties to ensure the player remains dry and comfortable in various playing conditions.

The blue and gold shirt with the club crest sitting on the middle of the chest features reflector dots and CCC logos on the shoulder that react to sunlight and floodlights for enhanced peripheral vision while the mesh inserts are for performance purposes - strategically placed to enable air-flow and for its super lightweight fabric.

After last year's FA Cup success, the club celebrates its 110th anniversary with arguably the biggest season in Pompey’s history as they enter Europe via the UEFA Cup for the first time in history.

Portsmouth FC away kit 2008-09

FA Cup 2008 winners Portsmouth FC is celebrating 110 years in the 2008/09 season with a new away kit for the upcoming season of the English Premier League.

The near all-white away kit in 07/08 makes way for a blue and white shirt that features a blue collar and sleeves. Manufactured by Canterbury, the club's crest sits on the player's left chest and features "110 Years" underneath it.

The goalkeeper shirt worn by England no.1 David James is all blue with black patterns across the shoulders, arms and down the back.
