Robson loses the plot

Sheffield United manager Bryan Robson has lost the plot. He was a magnificent player for Manchester United and England but the memory of his brilliance fades with every day of his managerial career.
He had some success with Middlesbrough who he managed to become one of the yo-yo teams between the Championship and the Premiership. However, when you look at the star names he had at his disposal, Ravanelli, Juninho, etc, he probably should have done better.
Ask the fans of Bradford City or West Brom what they think of him as a manager and you will get a very short answer.
Now, as manager of Sheffield United, favourites for promomtion, he has somehow managed to take them to 17th place, just 7 points away from the relegation places. With the players at his disposal, this is remarkable even for Robson.
The Sheffield United fans are angry, confused and upset. They know their team should be doing better. They are rightly exercising their right to complain at games where they see their team playing without style, organisation or passion. They booed the players and the manager during Saturday's 0-0 draw with Scunthorpe, and now Robson has committed managerial suicide by blaming the fans for the performance.
"If we'd had better support from them I feel we could have gone on to win." he said after the game.
Unbelievable. When will managers realise that fans who pay a fortune to support their club have a right to expect results and entertainment. It is the fans who will respond to the team, not the other way round.
I suspect that Robson's comments probably won't endear him to the Brammal Lane faithful.
