Liverpool FC fixtures list 2008/09

The Reds will kick off the 2008/09 English Premier League season with an away trip to Sunderland on the first day of the season on August 16.
Gareth Southgate's Middlesbrough will be the first visitors to Anfield in the new season on August 23 with a mouthwatering home tie against reigning champions Manchester United as soon as the fourth game of the new season on September 13.
In the same month, the first derby of the season takes place at Goodison Park on September 27 with the corresponding Anfield fixture taking place after the new year. Liverpool will make a trip to Stamford Bridge on October 25 with manager Rafa Benitez pitting his wits against new Chelsea boss Scolari for the first time.
The Boxing Day clash next season will be a home game with Bolton with an away trip to Arsenal just six days before. The season ends in May 24, 2009 with a home game against Tottenham.
