Italian Serie A side Sampdoria was formed in 1946 and is based in the city of Genoa, Italy. Nicknamed Blucerchiati, the club won the Scudetto in 1991 wearing the club's traditional colours of blue with white, red and black stripes.
The home kit for season 2007-08 carries on this theme with a kit manufactured by sportswear brand Kappa. Made from 95% Poliammide and 5% Tactel, the shirt also features a patch team logo and club sponsors ERG across the chest.

I remember him mostly from his playing days at Arsenal and for England. What an awesome goal scoring record for a midfielder!

And He's a Victorian!!! - Victoria's Sporting stars
I remember David Platt going around at Aston Villa pre 1990 World Cup.
From memory he scored the winners in each of England's knockout phase victories over Cameroon and Belgium (i think?) which attracted the interest of Bari.
The Arsenal stint came at the end of his career at about the same time the Guners signed Dennis Bergkamp, I think from memory George Graham was in charge
