UEFA Champions League draw 2008-09

UEFA Champions League


Reigning European champions Manchester United have been drawn against fellow British side Celtic while Liverpool and their prolific Spanish striker Fernando Torres will come up against his former club Atletico Madrid for the first time since his switch to Anfield last summer.

Big spenders and last season's runners-up Chelsea had the best draw of the four English clubs with Roma, Bordeaux and Romanian minnows CFR Cluj in Group A while Arsenal were drawn in Group G with Porto, Fenerbahce and Dynamo Kiev.

The group stages of the 2008-09 season Champions League will kick off on September 16 & 17.
