The new West Ham home kit for 2008-09 is nothing too drastic but offers sharper styling than its predecessor including a faux collar. It does add some contrast to the jersey but whether you like it or not is purely just a matter of taste.
Finished in the club's tradition claret (body) and blue (sleeves) colours, the replica shirt is manufactured by Umbro using 100% polyester. Since the shirt was unveiled, West Ham has terminated their sponsorship deal with XL Holidays with first-team players wearing squad numbers on the front of their shirts. This decision still allows future dispensation from the Premier League to change player and replica kits to a new commercial sponsor once an agreement is in place.
